picture of the school

Falk Elementary School was built in 1963 with a third remodeling and addition added in 1996. Our school is named after Philip H. Falk who served as the Madison Superintendent of Schools from 1939-1963. We are very proud of our school and welcome families and guests.

Falk is a 4K-5 elementary school located in the Memorial High School attendance area on Madison's southwest side. One early childhood classes are also housed at Falk School.

Class Size

Enrollment is approximately 370. 4k-3rd grade classes are capped at 18 students, with 4th and 5th grade classes capped at 28.

Breakfast/Lunch Program and After School Care

Students have the option of bringing a lunch or receiving school lunch. This includes a fresh fruit and vegetable bar, a prepacked hot entree and milk. Students also have the option of receiving a school breakfast each morning before school.  Our community breakfast takes place from 7:30-7:45 AM each day, with breakfast available to late-arriving students until 10 AM.  As a Community Eligibility Program (CEP) school, all students receive school breakfast and school lunch free-of-charge.  On-site after school care is run by MSCR (Safe Haven).

Neighborhood Bus Service

Falk is primarily a neighborhood school where approximately 80% of the students walk to school.
